The term “jarðfé”, “us” or “we” refers to the owner of the website. Our company number is 932 236 311, registered in Norway. The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of our website.

By accessing, browsing and/or using this site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these regulations and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these terms, then please do not use this site. We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions under which the website and the products are provided. Any such change in terms and conditions will be effective once included in the text of these terms and conditions and published on the website. We recommend that you check the terms and conditions posted on the website regularly to ensure that you are aware of any updates.

Before placing any order we must insist you read and understand our Sizing Guidelines, our Shipping Info and FAQ to ensure your item will arrive to you as promptly as possible.

Pricing

All prices on the this website are in NOK, Norwegian Krone. Any automatic currency conversion or price-approximations in any other currency than NOK displayed on our website are for guidance purposes only. For customers purchasing outside Norway the final price will be calculated by your card issuer or the payment provider in accordance with the applicable exchange rate at the time of processing your transaction.

Please note that prices listed on the site or in any printed publications are correct at the time of publication and we reserve the right to amend these without prior notification.

Ordering

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.

When placing an order you agree that all information provided is accurate and complete.

When you place your order on the website we will send a confirmation email which will detail the products ordered, payment method, and cost (including VAT and P&P if applicable). You must check that all the details on this confirmation email are correct and contact us immediately if any details are incorrect.

Please note that your order constitutes only an offer to purchase goods from us, and does not form a binding contract until accepted by us. No contract for the sale of any product will exist between you and jarðfé until we accept your order by dispatching the product(s) to you, notwithstanding that we may have sent an email confirmation.

We reserve the right not to accept any order at our sole discretion. We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses arising from not accepting your order and we shall have no liability to you by way of compensation other than to refund the amount paid for the goods in question.

If your order has not been accepted, we will contact you to advise the reason why.

Shipping

Estimated shipping times are as stated in our Shipping Info. We are not responsible for any delays which occur whilst your goods are in transit with the courier.

When ordering from jardfe.com you are responsible for assuring the product can be lawfully imported to the destination.

Orders for destinations outside Norway will not be subject to any VAT.

Orders shipped outside of Norway may be subject to customs duties, import fees, import taxes, customs brokerage fees, sales taxes and other fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient’s country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient. jarðfé is not responsible for any fees charged on delivery, any delays related to this or seizures of goods due to regulations in the destination country.

Customs policies vary widely; you should contact your local customs office for more information.

International delivery destinations may have the option of choosing between shipment through the normal postal system using Posten Norge and your local postal service or UPS Express. By choosing Posten as the courier for international deliveries you are acknowledging that you have ensured that the national postal service in the destination country do not impose restrictions on the delivery of jewelry from Norway as set out by the Universal Postal Union. jarðfé cannot be held responsible for any non-delivery or delays due to such restrictions. If shipments to your country require special considerations you must contact us before placing an order.

EU Shipments

At the current time jarðfé is not a part of the IOSS system. This means that all deliveries from us will require the same customs and duties procedures whether the value of the goods are above or below €150.

UK Shipments

Current UK legislation states that any consignment of goods valued at £135 or less, not including shipping costs, must have UK VAT collected at the point of sale. This puts an excessive burden on us as sellers and therefore unfortunately we cannot complete any orders to the UK with a total cost of £135 or less.

Missing or delayed parcels

If you are the recipient of a parcel with a predetermined or guaranteed delivery date and the parcel is not delivered by the end-of-day on this date you must contact us immediately, without delay, and no later than 12 hours.

We do not accept any liability for missing or delayed parcels if this is not followed.

Under no circumstance should you wait and see if the parcel will arrive – please contact us immediately if the parcel is not delivered by its delivery date.

We may use a third-party insurer when shipping parcels for your and our safety. As such, we must raise a delay or non-delivery of a parcel immediately with our insurers. Any delay in you contacting us might invalidate any such claim and will in all circumstances delay the processing of any claims.

In the case of theft, after contacting us, you must file a complaint with the local police and provide us with the corresponding documents.

Once a complaint has been raised with the delivery company we will try to locate your parcel.

In the event that we are unable to locate your parcel, replacements will be sent.

Damaged parcels

In the event that you receive a parcel that looks visibly damaged, you must describe the damaged parcel precisely on the delivery slip upon receiving it, i.e. you must make your reservations clear to the courier. Signing for a parcel without making any reservations with the courier will be counted as an acceptance of the goods and as such waive any claim. You always have the right to inspect the package contents before signing for a parcel.

Without delay, and in any case no later than 12 hours after receiving the parcel, you must contact us so we can follow up the claims process with the delivery company and any third party insurer (if applicable).

For us to be able to promptly process your claim we will need you to:

  • Take pictures of the package and its damaged content
  • Keep all damaged packaging

Once the claim has been raised with the delivery company and potential insurers we will ship out a replacement.

We do not accept any liability for damaged parcels if this process not followed.

Unclaimed packages

Please be available for delivery or pick up your parcel promptly and within the deadline if the parcel is returned to your local delivery office for pick up in case the courier was not able to deliver the parcel.

Please also note that all unclaimed packages will be returned to us and our costs related to the shipping, handling and return of the goods will be deducted from any possible refund.

Sizing

We will make items to the specified size and style requested.

If you are unsure of your size, we suggest you consult a reputable jeweler and have your size measured.

If the event you have ordered the wrong size and the ring in question can be re-sized, we will do so for a fee, which will wary depending on the item, plus shipping. Please get in touch with us immediately if you discover upon delivery that the ring is too big or small.

Cancellations

Where applicable you can cancel your order in accordance with your rights under the Cancellation Act.

All gold products require specially ordered materials on an order-by-order basis and should be considered custom made. Due to this any gold orders must be canceled within 24 hours after ordering.

To cancel your order prior to dispatch we advise that you contact us as soon as possible after ordering.

For orders canceled after dispatch you must follow our returns procedure. You are responsible for any return postage costs.

Returns

It is our intention for you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy is designed with the objective of providing clarity and a positive shopping experience for you the customer. Please read our return policy carefully to understand the terms and conditions relevant to your purchase.

General

All our items are handmade-to-order.

With the exception of certain items mentioned below, you may return your order for a refund within 30 days of receipt, provided the goods are returned in an unused, perfect condition. The item must be returned together with all its tags and packaging (if applicable), excluding any shipping-specific packaging.

Please, before returning an item you should contact us here so we can coordinate the return.

Non-Refundable Items

Due of the nature of certain items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, we cannot accept returns or refunds for:

  • custom or personalized items
  • earrings or other intimate jewelry, for hygiene reasons.

For some earrings where we can change the hook or the earring post, returns are accepted against a fee as this entails changing out the part that goes into the ear. The cost and availability of this service will depend on the item in question and we advice you to contact us in this case.

We do not accept refunds on gold items as these items contain materials that are specially ordered on an order-by-order basis and should be considered custom made. For gold items we instead offer store credit.

Acceptable Item Conditions

Once you decide to return the goods you must not use them and must take reasonable care of them while they remain in your possession. The goods must be returned to us intact and undamaged as soon as reasonably possible, and within 30 days. Items that are returned with evidence of wear will not be accepted.

Return Shipping Handling and Costs

It is your responsibility to pay the postage costs for any items returned to us. We advise that you use a recorded method of carriage for returning your goods. We are not responsible for items lost or delayed on their way back to us. In the event of a lost parcel, you as the receiver is responsible for processing a claim with the delivery company.

In the case of faulty goods, or goods which have been sent incorrectly, we will make direct arrangements and/or refund your reasonable return postage costs. If this is the case contact us here and we will make arrangements with you directly.

Refunds

All refunds will be processed via your original method of payment, except for store credit, for the price of the goods, excluding any potential shipping costs, once the item has arrived back to us.

Please allow 7 working days for your refund to be processed. The time it will take for the money to be back in your account will depend on the payment provider chosen to complete the purchase and may vary from provider to provider and between countries. The specifics can be found by contacting the specific payment provider.

Store credit will be credited to you and made available within 7 working days after the receipt of your return.

International customs charges, duties, sales taxes or other fees are non-refundable, but they might be refundable if you contact your local tax authorities.

The link does not represent any endorsement or recommendation by us and does not mean that we have any association with the linked website. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Norwegian Law and it is agreed that the Norwegian Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of a dispute. These terms and conditions set out the entire agreement between you and us in respect of the sale, purchase and use of the goods and the website. They supersede any previous agreement or understanding in relation to the subject matter hereof. They may only be varied where separately agreed in writing between you and us.
